Photo Tutorial – How To Crochet: Restful Stitch!

 Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Restful Stitch!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch

For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! And how to make the Single Crochet Decrease (SC DEC), tutorial here!

 

Starting from the beginning, you can make any number of chains

❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈

 

Row 1: Make 1 HDC into the 3rd CH from your hook

Then make 1 HDC into each CH across to complete this row

Row 2: Make 1 CH

Then make 1 SC into each ST across to complete this row

Row 3: Make 2 CHs

*Make 1 HDC Spike into the space between each ST from 2 rows down, do over the SC row, into the space between STs of the HDC row

Repeat the step above from * across until you only have 1 ST left, then make 1 HDC into the last ST to complete this row

 

 

You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project

This is what the Restful Stitch should look like when completed!
