Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Roxbury Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! And how to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make an even number of chains
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook
Then make 1 SC into each CH across
Row 2: Make 2 CHs
*Skip 1 ST, make 2 HDC into the next ST
Repeat the step above from * until you have 1 ST left
Make 1 HDC into that last ST to complete this row
Row 3: Make 1 CH
Then make 1 SC into each ST across
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Roxbury Stitch should look like when completed!
