Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Textured Basic Wave Stitch!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.

For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! And how to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! How to make the Triple Crochet Stitch (TR), tutorial here! How to work in the Back Loops (BLO), tutorial here! And be familiar with the regular Basic Wave Stitch, tutorial here!

Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 14 + 2

Make 1 DC into each of the next 2 STs

Make 1 HDC into each of the next 2 STs

Make 1 SC into each of the next 3 STs

Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 4 STs left

Make 1 SC into each of those last STs to complete this row

Row 3: Make 1 CH

BLO: Make 1 SC into each ST across

Row 4: Make 3 CHs, these CHs count as 1 TR

BLO: Make 1 TR into the next ST

*Make 1 DC into each of the next 2 STs

Make 1 HDC into each of the next 2 STs

Make 1 SC into each of the next 2 STs

Make 1 HDC into each of the next 2 STs

Make 1 DC into each of the next 2 STs

Make 1 TR into each of the next 3 STs

Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 4 STs left

Make 1 TR into each of those last STs to complete this row

Row 5: Make 1 CH

BLO: Make 1 SC into each ST across to complete this row

You would now Repeat Rows 2, 3, 4 & 5 in order for however long you want your project
