Photo Tutorial – How To Crochet: Triple Puff Stitch!

 Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Triple Puff Stitch!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch

For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! And how to make the Puff Stitch (PF ST), tutorial here!

 

Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 6 + 5

❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈

 

Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook

*Skip 2 CHs,

You'll make a PF ST into the next CH

(Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through that CH) X 3, then yarn over your hook 1 time, that through all loops except 2, then yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through both of those last 2 loops to complete that PF ST

Make 2 CHs

You'll make another PF ST into the same CH as the 1st one you made

(Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through that CH) X 3, then yarn over your hook 1 time, that through all loops except 2, then yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through both of those last 2 loops to complete that PF ST

Make 2 CHs

You'll make another PF ST into the same CH as the 1st two you made

(Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through that CH) X 3, then yarn over your hook 1 time, that through all loops except 2, then yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through both of those last 2 loops to complete that PF ST

So all together you'll have (1 PF ST, CH 2, 1 PF ST, CH 2, 1 PF ST) all together in that CH

Skip 2 CHs, make 1 SC into the next CH

Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 3 CHs left

Skip 2 CHs, make 1 PF ST into the last CH

(Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through that CH) X 3, then yarn over your hook 1 time, that through all loops except 2, then yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through both of those last 2 loops to complete that PF ST

Make 2 CHs

Make 1 more PF ST into that same last CH to complete this row

(Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through that CH) X 3, then yarn over your hook 1 time, that through all loops except 2, then yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through both of those last 2 loops to complete that PF ST

Row 2: Make 1 CH

Make 1 SC into the 1st ST

*Skip to the next previous SC ST,

Make (1 PF ST, CH 2, 1 PF ST, CH 2, 1 PF ST) into that ST

Skip to the middle CH space of the next previous PF STS

Make 1 SC into that middle CH space

Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST left

Make 1 PF ST into that last ST

Make 2 CHs

Then make 1 more PF ST into that last ST to complete this row

 

 

You would now repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project

This is what the Triple Puff Stitch should look like when completed!
