Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make a Scrap Yarn Ball!

I have a playlist with different yarn joining techniques here! I used simple knots for my tutorial, because I wanted to quickly make this yarn ball.

Start with your two beginning colors

Take yarn color 1 and start wrapping it around your hand

Once you have enough wrapped around your hand, pinch the yarn together to slide it off your hand, hold the yarn together

Keep wrapping yarn around the yarn that was on your hand, this is the beginning of your yarn ball

Once you wrap all of your 1st color, use a yarn Joining technique from here, to join your 2nd color to the 1st one

Then keep wrapping your new color onto the existing yarn ball you have started
You would keep adding as many new colors as you want to your scrap yarn ball

This is what your Scrap Yarn Ball should look like when completed!
