You only need 2 basic crochet stitches
Very beginner friendly

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example blanket
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example blanket – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Crochet Stitches Needed:
Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK
Single Crochet Stitch (SC):

Pattern:
Make an even number of CHs, I made 154 CHs for my example blanket
Row 1: 1 SC + 2 HDC into 2nd CH from your hook, *SK 2 CHs, (SC, HDC, HDC) into the next CH, repeat from * until you reach the last CH of your row, make 1 SC into the last CH of your row
Row 2: CH 2, 1 SC into BLO of 1st ST, SK 2 STs, (SC, HDC, HDC) into the BLO of the next ST, *SK 2 STs, (SC, HDC, HDC) into the BLO of the next ST, repeat from * until you reach the last ST of your row, make 1 SC into the last ST of your row
Repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project
