Easy pattern and works up quickly!
Combines 2 basic crochet stitches, so it's beginner friendly!

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example blanket
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example blanket – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Crochet Stitches Needed:
Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK
Single Crochet Stitch (SC):

Pattern:
Make chains in the multiple of 3 + 1, I made 151 CHs for my example blanket
Row 1: 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook, CH 2, SK 2 CHs, 1 SC into the next CH
Row 2: CH 3, *SK 1st ST, 2 DC into next CH space, repeat from * until you reach the last ST of this row, make 1 DC into that last ST
Row 3: CH 1, 1 SC into 1st ST, *CH 2, SK 2 STs, 1 SC into space between STs, repeat from * until you reach the last ST of this row, make 1 SC into that last ST
Row 4: CH 3, *SK 1st ST, *1 DC into each 2 DC 2 rows below over CH space, repeat from * until you reach the last ST of this row, make 1 DC into that last ST
You would now alternate between rows 3 and 4 for however long you want your project
