Only using basic crochet stitches
Gorgeous texture

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/Aran weight for my example cowl
Crochet hook – Any hook will work– I used a I hook for my example cowl– 5.0 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Crochet Stitches Needed:
Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK
Single Crochet Stitch (SC):

Pattern:
Make any number of chains for how long you want your cowl/scarf, I made 190 chains for my example cowl
Row 1: In each row you will pick a stitch (SC, HDC or DC) then make 1 of that stitch into the you chose in the Back Loops of each CH across for the first row. In the next row you can do that same stitch or pick another and make that row with the new stitch. Basically, this is a very random pattern. I used a mix of SC rows, HDC rows and DC rows to make the one above.
When you reach your desired width,

Leave long yarn tail to sew ends of cowl together
