Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make my Sweet Dreams Hexagon!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this motif

For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Slip Stitch (SL ST), tutorial here! How to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here!

There are several ways to start this motif. You can use the Magic Ring/Circle/Loop, I have a tutorial here! The Chain 4 method, I have a tutorial here! Or the Slip Stitch Method, I have a tutorial here!

I will be using the Chain 4 Method for my tutorial

Row 1: Make your circle, I made 4 CHs for mine

Make 12 DC into that circle

I made 12 DC into the 4th CH from my hook

SL ST into the 1st DC you made to complete this row

Row 2: Make 3 CHs

Make 1 DC into same ST as CHs just made

*Make 2 DC into the next ST

Repeat the step above from * around

SL ST into the 1st DC you made to complete this row

Row 3: Make 4 CHs

*Skip 1 ST, make 1 SC into the next ST

Make 3 CHs

Repeat the steps above from * around

SL ST into the 1st CHs you made to complete this row

Row 4: Start at any previous CH 3 space, make 2 CHs

These 2 CHs count as 1 HDC

Make 2 HDC into that same CH space

 Make 3 CHs

Make 3 HDC into that same CH space

So all together we have: 3 HDC, CH 3, 3 HDC into this space

This is a corner space for our Hexagon

*Skip to next CH space, make: 1 HDC, CH 1, 1 HDC into that space

Skip to next CH space, this will be our next corner space

Make: 3 HDC, CH 3, 3 HDC into that space

Repeat the steps above from * around

SL ST into the 1st CHs you made to complete this row

Row 5: Start at any previous corner space

Make 3 CHs

These 3 CHs count as 1 DC

Make 2 DC into that same corner space

Make 3 CHs

This will be our new corner space

Make 3 DC into that same corner space

*Make 1 CH

Skip to next previous CH 1 space, make 3 DC into that space

 Make 1 CH

Make: 3 DC, CH 3, 3 DC into that corner space

Repeat the steps above from * around

SL ST into the 1st CHs you made to complete this row

This is what the Sweet Dreams Hexagon should look like when completed!
