Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make my Vibe Shift Afghan!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this blanket pattern
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! How to make the Front Post Double Crochet Stitch (FPDC), tutorial here! How to make the Back Post Double Crochet Stitch (BPDC), tutorial here! And how to make the Diagonal Stripes Stitch, tutorial here!

Starting from the beginner making chains, make chains in the multiple of 4. I made 152 chains for my example blanket
Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 4th CH from your hook
Then make 1 DC into each CH across to complete this row
Row 2: Make 2 CHs, these CHs count as 1 DC, so you can skip the 1st ST
*Make 1 FPDC over each of the next 2 STs
Make 1 BPDC over each of the next 2 STs
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST left
Make 1 DC into that last ST to complete this row
Row 3: Make 2 CHs, these CHs count as 1 DC, so you can skip the 1st ST
Make 1 BPDC over the next ST
*Make 1 FPDC over each of the next 2 STs
Make 1 BPDC over each of the next 2 STs
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST left
Make 1 DC into that last ST to complete this row
Row 4: Make 2 CHs, these CHs count as 1 DC, so you can skip the 1st ST
*Make 1 BPDC over each of the next 2 STs
Make 1 FPDC over each of the next 2 STs
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST left
Make 1 DC into that last ST to complete this row
Row 5: Make 2 CHs, these CHs count as 1 DC, so you can skip the 1st ST
Make 1 FPDC over the next ST
*Make 1 BPDC over each of the next 2 STs
Make 1 FPDC over each of the next 2 STs
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST left
Make 1 DC into that last ST to complete this row
You would now repeat Rows 3, 4 & 5 in order for however long you want your project
This is what my Vibe Shift Afghan should look like when completed!
