Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Devoted Lace Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! How to make the Front Post Double Crochet Stitch (FPDC), tutorial here! How to make the Back Post Double Crochet stitch (BPDC), tutorial here! And how to make the Fir Stitch, tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 4 + 1
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 3rd CH from your hook
*Make 1 CH, then skip 2 CHs
Make 3 DC into the next CH
Make 1 CH, then skip 2 CHs
Make 1 DC into the next CH
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 CH left
Make 1 DC into that last CH to complete this row
Row 2: Make 2 CHs
Make 1 DC into the 1st ST
*Skip to middle DC of next previous 3
Make (1 DC, CH 2, 1 DC) into that ST
Make 1 CH
Make 1 BPDC over the next previous DC
Make 1 CH
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST + CHs left
Make 1 DC into the last ST, then make 1 DC into the top of the last CHs to complete this row
Row 3: Make 2 CHs
Make 1 DC into the 1st ST
*Make 3 DC into the next previous CH 2 space
Make 1 CH
Make 1 FPDC over the next previous BPDC
Make 1 CH
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST + some CHs left
Make 1 DC into the last ST and make 1 DC into the top of those last CHs to complete this row
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Devoted Lace Stitch should look like when completed!
