Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Half Double Crochet Rib Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here! And how to work in the 3rd Loop, tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make any number of chains
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 HDC into the 2nd CH from your hook
Then make 1 HDC into each CH across
Row 2: Make 2 CHs
Make 1 HDC working into the 3rd Loop of each ST, until you only have 1 ST left in this row
Then make 1 regular HDC into the last ST of this row to complete
You would now Repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project
This is what the HDC Rib Stitch should look like when completed!
