Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Lace Hatch Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet V Stitch (DC V), tutorial here! And be familiar with the regular Hatch Stitch, tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 4 + 5
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook
Make 3 CHs
Make 3 DC into that same CH with the SC you had just made
So all together we have: 1 SC, CH 3, 3 DC into that CH
*Skip 3 CHs
1 SC, CH 3, 3 DC into the next CH
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 3 CHs left
Skip 2 CHs, make 1 SC into the last CH to complete
Row 2: CH 3
1 DC into 1st ST
*Skip to next CH space, make 1 SC into that CH space
Skip to next previous SC, make 1 DC V into that ST
Repeat from * until you have 3 STs + CHs left
Skip those STs, make 1 SC into those last CHs
Then make 2 DC into that same last CH space to complete
Row 3: CH 3
1 DC into 1st ST
*Skip to next previous SC
Make: (1 SC, CH 3, 3 DC) into that ST
Repeat the steps above from * until you have 1 ST + CHs left
Skip that last ST, make 1 SC into those last CHs/CH space to complete
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Lace Hatch Stitch should look like when completed!
