Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Opaline Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! And how to make the Triple Crochet Stitch (TR), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make an odd number of chains
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook
*CH 2, skip 2 CHs
Make 1 SC into the next CH
Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of this row
Row 2: CH 3
Skip 1st ST,
*skip CH space, make 1 TR into the next ST
CH 1
Make 1 TR over the TR you just made, into the skipped ST to the right
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST left
Make 1 TR into that last ST to complete this row
Row 3: CH 1
Make 1 SC into the 1st ST
*CH 2, (SK 1 ST, CH 1, SK 1 ST)
Make 1 SC into the next space between STs
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have some CHs left
Make 1 SC into the top of those last CHs to complete this row
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long your want your project
