Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Sophia Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Spike Stitch (DC SP), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 3
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook
Then make 1 SC into each CH across to complete this row
Row 2: Make 3 CHs
*Skip 2 STs, make 3 DC into the next ST
Repeat the step above from * until you only have 2 STS left
Skip 1 ST, then make 1 DC into the last ST to complete this row
Row 3: Make 3 CHs
*Skip 2 STs, make 2 DC into the next ST
Make 1 DC SP into the space to the right of the next 3 DC from last row
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have some CHs left
Make 1 DC into the tops of those last CHs to complete this row
Row 4: Make 1 CH
Then make 1 SC into each ST across to complete this row
You would now repeat Rows 2, 3 & 4 in order for however long you want your project
