Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Spiked Suzette Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Spike Stitch (DC SP), tutorial here! And be familiar with the Suzette Stitch, tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make an even number of chains
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 SC + 1 DC into the 2nd CH from your hook
*Skip 1 CH, make 1 SC + 1 DC into the next CH
Repeat the step above from * for the rest of this row
Row 2: Make 1 CH
*Skip STs, into the next space between STs make 1 SC
Make 1 DC SPIKE down into the CH 1 row down, below that space between STs
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST + CHs left
Skip that 1 ST, make 1 SC into that last CH at the end of this row
Row 3: Make 1 CH
*Skip STs, into the next space between STs make 1 SC
then make 1 DC SPIKE down into the ST 1 row down, below that space between STs
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST
Make 1 SC into that last ST to complete this row
You would now repeat Row 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Spiked Suzette Stitch should look like when completed!
