Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Textured Granny Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! How to work in the Back Loops (BLO), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 3 + 1
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 2 DC into the 3rd CH from your hook
*Skip 2 CHs, make 3 DC into the next CH
Repeat the step above from * until you only have 1 CH left
Make 1 DC into that last CH to complete this row
Row 2: Make 3 CHs, these CHs count as 1 DC
We'll be making the same sequence as Row 1, but working in the Back Loops (BLO) of each ST we work into
Turn your work where you are looking at the top of each ST, the loop at the back of each ST is the Back Loop
*Skip 2 STs, make 3 DC into the BLO of the next ST
Repeat the step above from * until you only have 1 ST left
Make 1 DC into the BLO of that last ST to complete this row
You would now repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project
This is what the Textured Granny Stitch should look like when completed!
