Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Wedge Stitch!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch

For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! And how to make the Single Crochet Decrease (SC DEC), tutorial here!

Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 3

❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈

Row 1: Make 1 SC DEC over the 1st 2 CHs

Insert your hook into the 2nd CH from your hook, grab that yarn you're working with and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, insert your hook into the next CH, grab that yarn you're working with and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that through all of the loops on your hook to complete that SC DEC over 2 CHs

*Make 1 CH, skip 1 CH

SC DEC over the next 2 CHs

Insert your hook into the next CH, grab that yarn you're working with and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, insert your hook into the next CH, grab that yarn you're working with and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that through all of the loops on your hook to complete that SC DEC over 2 CHs

Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 CH left

Make 1 SC into that last CH to complete this row

Row 2: Make 1 CH,

Same sequence for this row as our last row, just worked into STs + previous CH spaces

*Make 1 SC DEC into the next ST + next CH space

Insert your hook into the next ST, grab that yarn you're working with and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, insert your hook into the next CH space, grab that yarn you're working with and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that through all of the loops on your hook to complete that SC DEC

Make 1 CH

Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST left

Make 1 SC into that last ST to complete this row

You would now repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project

This is what the Wedge Stitch should look like when completed!
