Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example square
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example square– 5.5 MM

Chain – CH
Stitch– ST
Slip Stitch – SL ST

Pattern:
Pick your favorite way to start a circle, playlist above!
Row 1: Make circle, 11 DC into circle, SL ST into first DC made in this row
Row 2: CH 3, 1 DC in same space as the CHs you just made, 2 DC in each ST around, SL ST into the top of the chain you made at the beginning of this row
Row 3: CH 3, 1 DC in same space as the CHs you just made, *1 DC in next space, 2 DC in next space, Repeat from * around (You should end with a single CH, not a double in the last stitch), SL ST into the top of the chain you made at the beginning of this row
Row 4: CH 3, 1 DC in same space as the CHs you just made, *CH 1, 2 DC in next space, 1 HDC in next space, 1 HDC in next space, 1 SC in next 3 spaces, 2 DC in next space, repeat from * around, SL ST into the top of the chain you made at the beginning of this row
Row 5: You should be starting at an open space on the corner of the square so far, CH 2, 1 HDC in same space, CH 1, 2 HDC in same open space, *1 HDC across to the next open space, 2 HDC in open space, CH 1, 2 HDC in same open space, repeat from * around, SL ST into the top of the chain you made at the beginning of this row
