Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Stacked Granny Stripe Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! Also how to make Double Crochet Stitches (DC), tutorial here!
Notes:
To begin you will make chains in multiples of 3 + 2
You will make your first row in the Granny Stripe Stitch, tutorial here!
Any CH 3 you make throughout this stitch/pattern will count as 1 DC
Granny Block = 3 DC
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
To start your row make 3 CHs
Skip the 1st DC in the Granny Block underneath, make 1 DC into the next one (the middle DC)
Make 1 DC into that same ST (2 DC so far)
Make 1 DC into that same ST, that will make 3 total completing 1 Granny Block
Skip over to the center stitch of the next previous Granny Block (in the row below), make 3 DC into the same middle ST
Repeat this step until you reach the end of your row
Work 1 DC into the last space of your row, this DC matches the 1st CHs you made in this row
This is what the Stacked Granny Stripe Stitch should look like when completed!
