Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Spiked Blanket Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC) tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Spike Stitch, tutorial here! And be familiar with the regular Blanket Stitch, tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning make CHs in the multiple of 3

Row 1: Make 2 DC into the 3rd CH from your hook
*Skip 2 CHs, make 1 SC + 2 DC into the next CH
Repeat the step above from * for the rest of your row
Row 2: Make 2 CHs
Skip 2 STs, make 1 SC + 1 DC into the next ST
Then make 1 DC Spike into the CH/ST 1 row down
*Skip 2 STs, make 1 SC + 1 DC into the next ST
Then make 1 DC Spike into the CH/ST 1 row down
Repeat the step above from * for the rest of your row
Repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project
This is what the Spiked Blanket Stitch should look like when completed!
