Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example hexagon
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example hexagon – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers

Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK

Pattern:
Pick your favorite way to start a circle, playlist above!
Row 1: CH 1, make 6 SC into circle space, SL ST into 1st CH in this row to complete (6)
Row 2: (Start at any ST) CH 2, 2 DC into same ST, *CH 2, 3 DC into next ST, repeat from * around, SL ST into 1st CHs in this row to complete (6 sets of 3 DC, 6 sets of CH 2)
Row 3: (Start at corner space) CH 3, 1 DC into same space, CH 2, 2 DC into same space, *SK 1 ST, 1 DC into next ST (this should be the middle DC of previous 3), SK 1 ST, (2 DC, CH 2, 2 DC) into next corner space, repeat from * around, SL ST into 1st CHs in this row to complete
Row 4: (Start at corner space) CH 6, 1 DC into same space, *CH 2, SK 2 STs, 1 DC into next ST, CH 2, SK 2 STs, (1 DC, CH 3, 1 DC) into next corner space, repeat from * around, SL ST into 1st CHs in this row to complete
Row 5: (Start at corner space) CH 3, 1 DC into same space, CH 2, 2 DC into same space, *SK to next CH space, 3 DC into that space, repeat this step for each side space, corner spaces: (2 DC, CH 2, 2 DC) into each corner space, repeat from * around, SL ST into 1st CHs in this row to complete
