Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a new free pattern from me! Heart Of Gold Afghan is texturally BEAUTIFUL!

These gorgeous Puff Stitches make little hearts! 

Much easier to make than it looks!

This pattern works up quickly!

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:

 

Materials:

Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example blanket

Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example blanket – 5.5 MM

Scissors

Stitch Markers

 

Notes:

I made 3 YO Puff Stitches for my example stitches

 

Crochet Stitches Needed:

Chain – CH

Stitch – ST

Skip – SK

 

Double Crochet Stitch (DC):

Pattern:

Make chains in the multiple of 5 + 4, I made 154 CHs for my example blanket

 

Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 3rd CH from your hook, 1 DC into the next CH, *SK 2 CHs, 1 PF ST into next CH, CH 1, make 1 PF ST into the same CH as the one you just made, CH 1, SK 2 CHs, 1 DC into the next CH, repeat from * until you have 5 CHs left in this row, SK 2 CHs, make 1 DC into each of the 3 CHs left in this row to complete

 

Row 2: CH 3, SK 1 ST, make 1 BPDC over the next ST, 1 DC into the next ST, *SK to the space between previous PF STs, make (1 PF ST + 1 CH + 1 PF ST + 1 CH) into that space, SK to the next previous DC, make 1 BPDC over that ST, Repeat the steps above from * until you have some STs + CHs left in your row, 1 DC into next previous DC/ST, make 1 BPDC over the next ST/DC, make 1 DC into the tops of the CHs at the end of this row to complete

 

Row 3: Make 3 CHs, SK 1st ST, make 1 FPDC over the next ST, 1 DC into the next ST, *SK to the space between previous PF STs, make (1 PF ST + 1 CH + 1 PF ST + 1 CH) into that space, SK to the next previous DC, make 1 FPDC over that ST, Repeat the steps above from * until you have some STs + CHs left in your row, 1 DC into next previous DC/ST, make 1 FPDC over the next ST/DC, make 1 DC into the tops of the CHs at the end of this row to complete

 

Alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
