Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example hexagon
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a I hook for my example hexagon – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers

Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK

Pattern:
Pick your favorite way to start a circle, playlist above!
Row 1: Make circle, CH 5, *1 DC into center space, CH 1, repeat from * until you have 12 DC, then SL ST into the 1st CHs made in this row to complete
Row 2: (Start at any previous CH 1 space) Make 2 CHs, *3 CL ST into same space, CH 2, SK to next space, repeat from * around, SL ST into the 1st CHs made in this row to complete
Row 3: (Start at any previous CH 2 space) CH 5, 1 DC into same space, *SK to next previous CH 2 space, (1 DC, CH 2, 1 DC) into that space, repeat from * around, SL ST into the 1st CHs made in this row to complete
Row 4: (Start at any previous CH 2 space) CH 3, 2 DC into same space, CH 2, 3 DC into same space, *SK to next previous CH 2 space, 3 DC into that next space, SK to next previous CH 2 space, (3 DC, CH 2, 3 DC) into that space, repeat from * around, SL ST into the 1st CHs made in this row to complete
