Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example blanket
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a I hook for my example blanket – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Crochet Stitches Needed:
Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK
Single Crochet Stitch (SC):

Pattern:
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 4 + 2, I made 154 chains for my example blanket
Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook, *CH3, SK 3 CHs, 1 SC into next CH, repeat from * for the rest of this row
Row 2: CH 3, 1 DC into 1st ST, *SK CH space, 3 DC into previous SC, repeat from * until you reach the last CH space in this row, SK CH space, 2 DC into last ST of row
Row 3: CH 1, 1 SC into 1st ST, *CH 3, SK to middle DC of previous 3, 1 FPSC over that ST, repeat from * until you only have 2 STS left, make 1 SC into each ST left
Alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
