Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Braided Single Crochet Join to bring any crochet motifs together!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this tutorial
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make a Slip Knot, tutorial here! How to make the Slip Stitch (SL ST), tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here!

To begin, you'll need some motifs/squares to join together
I'm using 2 Solid Granny Squares to join

Next, you'll make a Slip Knot, line up your squares, you'll take that Slip Knot through 1 corner of each square
So the square closest to you will be Square 1, the other will be Square 2
Into the 1st ST of Square 1, make 1 SC
*Then make 1 CH
Take your hook out of that CH, make sure to keep still so that SC + CH doesn't come undone
Grab that CH, bring it through that 1st ST on Square 2, to complete that Braided SC ST
To start the next one: Make 1 SC into the next ST on Square 1
You'll then repeat the steps above from * until you reach the next corner spaces
Then make a SL ST into both corner spaces to complete this Join
This is what the Braided Single Crochet Join should look like when completed!
