Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Nora Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here! How to make the Linked Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here! And how to work in the Back Loops (BLO), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make any number of chains
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈

Row 1: Make 1 reg. HDC into the 2nd CH from your hook

Now we are going to make a Linked HDC using the reg. HDC we just made
*Insert your hook into the last/bottom loop of the (Linked) HDC you just made, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop

Insert your hook into the next CH, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop (You'll have 3 loops on your hook)

Yarn over your hook 1 time

Take that yarn through all 3 loops to complete that linked ST

Repeat from the steps above * across for the rest of this row

Row 2: Make 1 CH

You'll be working in the Back Loops of each ST across
To identify the Back Loops, turn your work where you are looking the at top of each ST
The loop to the back of each ST, is the Back Loop

So using each BLO of each ST, make 1 SC across to complete this row

Row 3: Make 2 CHs

Make 1 reg. HDC into the 1st ST

Using the same sequence as row 1, make 1 linked HDC but also using the BLO of each ST across
*Insert your hook into the last/bottom loop of the (Linked) HDC you just made, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, insert your hook into the next BLO ST, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop (You'll have 3 loops on your hook), yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through all 3 loops to complete that linked ST

Repeat the step above from * for the rest of this row
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 in order for however long you want your project

This is what the Nora Stitch should look like when completed!
