Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Stacked Hatch Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make chains, tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And be familiar with the regular Hatch Stitch, tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 3
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook
*Make 3 CHs
Skip 2 CHs, make 1 SC into the next CH
Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of this row
Row 2: Make 3 CHs
Make 2 DC into the 1st ST
*Skip next CH space, make 1 SC into next previous SC
Make 3 CHs
Make 3 DC into that same SC you had just made a SC into
Repeat the steps above from * until you have 1 CH space + 1 ST left
Skip that last CH space, make 3 DC into that last ST to complete
Row 3: Make 1 CH
Make 1 SC into the 1st ST
*Make 3 CHs
Skip to next previous CH space, make 1 SC into that space
Repeat the steps above from * until you reach the last STs + CHs left
Skip to those last CHs at the end of this row, make 1 SC into those CHs to complete
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Stacked Hatch Stitch should look like when completed!
