Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 3 + 1

Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 4th CH from your hook
*Skip 2 CHs, make 3 DC into the next CH
Repeat the step above from * until you have 3 CHs left
Skip 2 CHs, make 2 DC into the last CH to complete this row
Row 2: Make 1 CH
Make 1 SC into the 1st ST
*Make 3 CHs
We're going to start making a CL ST into the FLO of the SC we had just made
-Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the FLO of that SC, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through that loop, pulling up 1 loop on your hook
You'll have 3 loops on your hook
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Take that yarn through 2 loops only
That's the bottom of 1 DC made, we will need 3 for this CL ST
You'll repeat the steps above from - until you have 3 DC bottoms made
You'll have 4 loops on your hook
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Take that yarn through all the loops on your hook to complete this CL ST
Skip to the middle DC of the next group of 3 DC, make 1 SC into that ST
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 2 STs + CHs left
Skip 2 STs, make 1 SC into the top of those last CHs to complete this row
Row 3: Make 3 CHs
Make 1 DC into the 1st ST
*Skip previous CL ST, make 3 DC into the next previous SC ST
Repeat the step above from * until you have 1 CL ST + 1 SC ST left
Skip that CL ST, make 2 DC into the last SC ST in this row to complete
Alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
