Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a new free pattern from me! My Peaks & Valleys Blanket Pattern is easier to make than it looks! 💓

This pattern would look stunning in any color(s)! Made from easy Double Crochet V Stitches!

Works up quickly and can easily be made in different sizes!

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:

 

Materials:

Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example blanket

Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a I hook for my example square – 5.5 MM

Scissors

Stitch Markers

 

Crochet Stitches Needed:

Chain – CH

Stitch – ST

Skip – SK

Pattern:

CH 231, (Multiples of 45+6)

Row 1: Work 1 DC in 4th CH from your hook, SK 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH, SK 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH, SK 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH, You'll have 4 DC Vs for your sides between Peaks & Valleys.

*Valley/Decrease: SK 2 CHs, (Insert your hook into the next CH, grab that yarn, pull up 1 loop, YO, take that yarn through 2 loops on your hook) that's the bottom of 1 DC, SK 1 CH, (Insert your hook into the next CH, grab that yarn, pull up 1 loop, YO, take that yarn through 2 loops on your hook) that's the bottom of 1 DC, so you'll have 2 with a CH in-between. YO, take that yarn through all 3 loops on your hook to complete that Decrease.

Side: SK 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH, SK 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH, SK 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH, K 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH.

Peak/Increase: SK 2 CHs, 1 DC V into next CH, CH 1, 1 DC V into that same CH as the 1st DC V made.

Side: SK 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH, SK 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH, SK 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH, K 2 CHs, 1 DC V in next CH.

Repeat the steps from * for the rest of your row


Row 2: CH 4, 1 DC V into 1st space, 1 DC V into that same space, *1 DC V into each previous DC V until you reach the closets one to the Valley/Decrease, DC Decrease over the next 2 DC V STs, 1 DC V into each previous DC V until you reach the closets one to the Peak/Increase, (DC V, CH 1, DC V) into the Peak/Increase space, repeat the steps from * until you reach the last space in this row, 1 DC V, CH 1, 1 DC into the tops of the previous CHs at the end of this row

Repeat row 2 until you reach your desired length

Border:

1 SC in each ST around, at the peaks I worked 3 SC in the top ST, at the decreases I worked 1 SC DEC
