Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example square
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example square – 5.5 MM

Pattern:
Pick your favorite way to start a circle or square, playlist above!
Row 1: Make circle, CH 3, 11 DC into center circle space, SL ST into 1st CHs made to complete (12 STs total)
Row 2: CH 2, 1 PF ST into ST, *CH 1, 1 PF ST into next ST, repeat from * around, SL ST into 1st CHs made to complete (12 PF STs total)
Row 3: (Start at any CH space) CH 4, *SK to next CH space, 1 SC into that space, CH 3, repeat from * around, SL ST into 1st CHs made to complete (12 CH spaces total)
Row 4: (Start at any CH space) CH 2, 3 DC into same CH space, CH 1, 1 SC into same space, *SK to next space, (1 SC, CH 1, 3 DC, CH 1, 1 SC) all into that space, repeat from * around, SL ST into 1st CHs made to complete
Row 5: (Start at any middle DC of previous 3 DC) CH 4, 2 TR, CH 3, 3 TR into same ST, *CH 1, SK to next middle DC of previous 3 DC, 3 DC into that ST, CH 1, SK to next middle DC of previous 3 DC, 3 DC into that ST, CH 1, SK to next middle DC of previous 3 DC, 3 DC into that ST, (3 TR, CH 3, 3 TR) into that ST, repeat from * around, SL ST into 1st CHs made to complete
