Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Mixed Cluster Stitch!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch

For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Cluster Stitch (CL ST), tutorial here!

Starting from the beginning, make an odd number of chains

❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈

Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook

Then make 1 SC into each CH across

Row 2: CH 2

We're going to start making Mixed Cluster STs

Yarn over your hook 1 time

Insert your hook into the next ST, grab that yarn you're working with, bring it through, pulling up 1 look

*Yarn over your hook 1 time

Take that yarn through 1 loops only

Yarn over 1 time

Take that yarn through 2 loops only

We just made 1 EDC (tutorial here!)

Yarn over 1 time

Skip 1 ST, insert your hook into the next ST,  grab that yarn you're working with, bring it through, pulling up 1 look

Yarn over your hook 1 time

Insert your hook back into the same next ST,  grab that yarn you're working with, bring it through, pulling up 1 look

Yarn over your hook 1 time

Take that yarn through 1 loop only

Yarn over your hook 1 time

Take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete this Mixed Cluster ST

Make 1 CH to secure that ST

The next Mixed Cluster ST will be started in the same ST your were just working into

Yarn over your hook, Insert your hook into the same ST, grab that yarn you're working with, bring it through, pulling up 1 look

Repeat the steps above from * until you have 1 ST left

Make 1 HDC into the last ST to complete this row

Row 3: Make 1 CH

Then make 1 SC into each ST across to complete this row

You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long your want your project

This is what the Mixed Cluster Stitch should look like when completed!
