Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example hexagon
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example hexagon – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers

Chain – CH
Stitch – ST

Pattern:
Pick your favorite way to start a circle, playlist above!
Row 1: CH 4, SL ST into the 4th CH from your hook to make a circle, CH 3, 12 DC into that center circle, SL ST into the 1st DC made to complete
Row 2: (Start at any ST) CH 5, 1 DC into same ST, *1 HDC into next ST, (1 DC, CH 2, 1 DC) into next ST, repeat from * around, SL ST into the 1st CHs made to complete
Row 3: (Start at any previous CH 2 space) CH 3, (1 DC, CH 2, 2 DC) all into same space *SK 1 ST, 1 DC V into next ST, SK 1 ST, (2 DC, CH 2, 2 DC) into next previous CH 2 space, repeat from * around, SL ST into the 1st CHs made to complete
Row 4: (Start at any previous CH 2 space) CH 4, 1 SC into same space, *CH 3, SK to previous DC V space, 1 SC into that space, CH 3, SK to next previous CH 2 space, (1 SC, CH 3, 1 SC) into that space, repeat from * around, SL ST into the 1st CHs made to complete
Row 5: (Start at any previous CH 3 corner space) CH 6, 1 DC into same space, *SK to next CH space, 3 DC into that space, SK to next CH space, 3 DC into that space, SK to next CH space, (1 DC, CH 3, 1 DC) into that space, repeat from * around, SL ST into the 1st CHs made to complete
