Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any medium weight/DK yarn will work
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a I hook for my example cowl – 5.0 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Crochet Stitches Needed:
Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK
Single Crochet Stitch (SC):

Pattern:
Make chains in the multiple of 3, I made 183 chains for my example cowl
Row 1: (1 SC, CH 1, 1 DC) into the 2nd CH from your hook, *SK 2 CHs, (1 SC, CH 1, 1 DC) into the next CH, repeat from * for the rest of this row, 1 SC into 2nd to last CH, CH 1, 1 DC into last CH to complete
Row 2: CH 1, (1 SC, CH 1, 1 DC) into each CH space across, 1 SC into last ST of this row
Repeat Row 2 for how wide you want your cowl
Fasten Off:

Sew up the ends of your cowl
